Not sure why I've not been motivated to write about my trip to London. I had a great time. I can't wait to go back. I loved being touristy, loved the dance piece, got to indulge in two staples of life I had been craving (Starbucks and Chinese food), got to play in a new beautiful city... Maybe there is just so much to talk about that the task seems too great for a little blog. Maybe I feel like I have covered it in sharing my pictures on Facebook. Maybe the experience was just for me and it is enough to not share it. Maybe I need to spend more time there before I have more than just general things to share. Anyway, if you ask me a question I'll answer it, and when I go back (as I know I will) I might be inspired as to what to say. But for now, see my Facebook pictures. I submitted the one with the stack of dancers in the archway next to the little boy to a photo "contest" sponsored by the dance festival that this piece was part of (it's only for fun, the prize is tickets to another piece in this festival, but I think it is mostly just so they can get some cool archival pictures of their piece, so I was more than happy to share a photo with them) so I'll know by noon tomorrow if I won! haha.
Anyway, tomorrow I have a killer long day. Workshop with Susan on site specific performance from 9-12, lecture with Janelle and Silvija on curation from 12-1:30, (secret) birthday party (I'm planning :)) for Janelle and Maria from 1:30-2, group meetings from 2-3, and fun workshop with Maria from 3-6. Then to the pub for Maria's continued birthday celebration, and then (late) to dance practice, I'll try and catch the 7:30 and 8:30 classes and will be there till maybe 10, hopefully no later. So yeah.
So, look for these exciting future blog topics, soon to come:

Brits: How Polite Is Too Polite?
Evidence Jo Has Been Here Too Long
Shout out to Friday parties. Our Fridays are just way too long. But this is the third Friday we've had, and the second week in a row I've found a way to turn Friday sessions into junk food central (the first Friday we just packed up early and all went to the bar...). How many more weeks can this continue? What lame excuses will I come up with to continue the tradition? Will we become dependent in a way that makes it impossible for us to make it through a Friday without cookies and beer? Is there any reason to ever attempt to test this theory? Stay tuned to find out.
