Nothing worked. When we moved in we had no furniture, heat, hot water, fridge, freezer, oven (well, those three were there but they didn't work), microwave, toaster, kettle (those are actually missing),
internet, phone, curtains, mattresses... get the idea? Over the next few days most things were fixed, we still are missing the kitchen appliances mentioned above that the university is supposed to provide, most of the curtains, a chair, the carpets have been caked in mud from contractors who've been coming through each day, and the roof leaks into our kitchen, living room, and attic.
Ask me if any of the things I wanted replaced were replaced. Go on. Ask me. I dare you. Maybe you can just guess.
Shout out to all the nice contractors who have been actually helpful in this process. Some have been very nice, calming, and good at their jobs.
