Fast facts

It is winter here already, there is frost and cold and grossness abounding.

Ian and I had our one year anniversary last night, woohoo us. We didn't see each other much during the day as we were both busy, but we went out for a nice dinner.

I made a spinach dip the other day, it was only just ok. I mean, it was all gone at the end of the night, and I liked it, but it wasn't totally amazing, so I will keep looking for better and better recipes before I post one.

I am having a Thanksgiving dinner here on Thursday. Different friends from Ian's resident life team are bringing different components, I feel I will end up contributing the turkey. Kinda good though, since I have to be out most of the day, I can just throw the thing in and periodically check on it. And this year I REFUSE to have a fresh turkey. Give me a nice packaged factory turkey please!!

We have another competition this weekend, on Sunday. This is the one that we host, and it is a big one and very formal, so it is special. Our juicer is getting a lot of use as we get ready for the comp, and the tiny outfits we have to wear for it. My body is falling apart from all the practicing, but I will do what I can to get through! Saturday I'll be making the ANZAC biscuits again for it, they were a hit last time.

Well, more will come later, I've been doing as much writing as I can fit in for the dissertation, as I want to have it all written (not edited or perfect, just all the thoughts down) by the end of the month, so I am barrelling through. I want December to just be edits and finishing touches and incorporating the notes that my supervisors will give me.

Oh, and don't buy a Dell with Vista. They crash. A lot.

Shout out to my friend Genevieve. She doesn't read this, but still. She got married today, so many many congrats to her. We went to elementary school together, and now are penpals. Her letters are hilarious and always brighten my day.
