Mid-week update

Well, things are going alright. Our professors are being really cool and understanding that we are overloaded. It's nice to have people looking out for us. We all just keep repeating, all we need to do is make it to Friday. Then things will slow down a little and we'll feel a little more in control of our lives.

Today started out icky but wound up ok. I fought with my bank for a little, but I think a UK account is on the horizon. They put me through the ringer though, and I got to class late (with permission, they told us we had to go this morning and we could be late) and grumpy. Then someone from another school said something that made me really really really really mad for a while. I don't want to discuss it here, especially because I write this blog is under the same name as my MAIPR blog and I have no way of knowing if anyone from the program reads this (at least one person has at least once) so I don't want to be in any way disrespectful to my classmates on this, my personal forum. Let me just say that everyone is entitled to any opinion they want, and certainly when the audience is a culturally accepting, enlightened and progressive thinking group seeking education and open horizons, let's assume they have the best of intentions, and that their opinions have value and merit and they can say whatever the heck they want whenever the heck they want to, and you can't tell them they are wrong because they didn't share your opinion, and you REALLY can't tell them to not express their opinion when it disagrees with yours (especially if they didn't know your opinion---WE CAN'T READ YOUR MIND). I'm hoping there was a miscommunication and we misunderstood what this classmate meant. I really hope.

Aaaaaaanyway. I ate lunch with a few girls from class, and we might go to the castle this weekend, so that should be fun. Another girl brought me a coffee today, totally sweet and totally fixed my mood. Then I got into the beginnings of what I think could be some cool discussions with some other students at the other schools, looking forward to that. Then a short group meeting and the day was done.

Tomorrow I have my first presentation! A grad school first! Yikes. I'm nervous, but it will be kinda fun. Wish me luck.

In the shout out department, I skyped with both of my parents today! Sorry you guys are sick, get better. I miss you.
